TThe WIM unit is a highly reliable networked device capable of providing control to a single access point. On the network each WIM is assigned an address and polled for security and operational messages. The WIM will accept codes from all residents for garage, elevator, gate and door access. AnyBit™ allows Condoplex products to work seamlessly with existing card formats making it an ideal product for retrofit installations. The WIM module may also be coordinated with Intercoms so that guards may quickly and conveniently release elevators and doors upon completion of their call. The intercom call, time to respond, termination and access granted are all recorded into the audit-logs.

The WIM is designed to report its operational status under all circumstanced. For example, should the WIM lose communications with the network, it may be programmed to operate in a "failsafe" mode whereby residents may gain access based on their site facility code. If the WIM should malfunction or the network fail, browser based real-time guarding terminals will immediately report such an event. Emails and other forms of communications will be generated to the appropriate service company/technician. All security events are buffered until the network connection is restored.
